
Nanocrystalline Core for Common Mode Choke
Due to unique combination of magnetic properties, nanocrystalline cores are widely used in application of common mode choke (CMC). Low cost(iron-based) and large-scale production (rapid solidification technology) make SWFNA being a more competitive solution especially than ferrite in EMC field.

The permeability μ 'of SWFNA is significantly higher than normal ferrite (Mn-Zn) in low frequency range and remains above the normal ferrite.
In operating temperature range (-55 to 130 degree ),the saturation flux density of SWFNA cores only change in very few percent (less than 1%), meanwhile normal ferrite (Mn-Zn) cores decline around 40% when temperature above 100 degree .
Because of high curie temperature (570 degree ) of SWFNA, a short-term operation is allowed maximum temperature range of 150~180 degree .
Normal ferrite (Mn-Zn) has lower saturation flux density (around 0.4T) and lower sensitivity due to its lower permeability. SWFNA's high saturation flux density (1.23T), wider adjustable permeability range (up to 200,000) and higher permeability frequency response enable SWFNA cores to be saturation-resistant solution.
